I have to say you did a great job of being fair on a very difficult subject. I grew up with the troubles going on, i am 60 now, some of my earliest memories are of atrocities, form both 'sides', a few twisted people managed to destroy a lot of lives. The ongoing tradgedy is that the troubles drove each community further apart when it was showing signs of mixing in the 60s. That, partly, was the intention, making the terrorists and sectarian politicians more powerful. As I sit here nearly 30 years since the hopeful days of the good friday agreement and the communities are showing no sign of significant mixing, quite the reverse, but there is always hope.

Does this explain why Albanians are so nationalist even in such a shit country? I was in Albania like a week ago and shocked at how much they love and defend their poor country and the people getting mad in the comments prove my point

Even Hungary's greatest King, Matthias Corvinus, fought no battle against the turks. He wanted the Holy Roman crown and attacked his christians brothers and took parts of their land. When the turks came in 1526 after just 2 months there was no more Hungary on the map until 1867 when they made Austria-Hungary

Albania had some rough time. Been in Albania 2 years ago and I loved it. Most people are super nice the views, sea sides are amazing. The only things I was disappointment with were rubbish dumbed everywhere and my phone was stolen. Albania is heading in the right direction, I'm sure it will be part of EU in the future.
